Brooklyn Center Jen Potter And Police Chief Resign After Shooting

2 days after the shooting of Daunte Wright in Brooklyn Center Minnesota, the Uninvolved police chief and the police officer who shot the motorist resign from their duties. 

“We have to make sure that justice is served, justice is done. Daunte Wright deserves that. His family deserves that,” Brooklyn Center’s mayor Mike Elliott said.

The mayor said that he was already pushing were already being made to fire Potter, and he hopes that her resignation will alleviate tensions. 

Elliot said, “we have very few people of color in our department.” Even though he didn’t have racial diversity info at hand, and despite the fact that a black police officer was involved in the stop that resulted in Daunte Wrights death.
