Mark McCloskey for Senate

On the Tuesday episode of “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” Mark McCloskey, infamous for him and his wife defending their home from BLM in Missouri with their guns, announced his campaign for U.S. Senate.

On the show, McCloskey said, “I’ve always been a Republican, but I’ve never been a politician. God came knocking on my door last summer disguised as an angry mob.”

The McCloskeys made headlines on June 28, 2020, during the George Floyd race riots as BLM supporters broke into their gated community.

The viral incident was recorded from the angle of the mob. Mark came out from his home with an assault rifle with his wife, Patricia. She was armed with a pistol.

Both of them presented their firearms to mob in a defensive posture.

In October 2020, the McCloskeys were indicted under the charges of unlawful use of a weapon and evidence tampering. Their defense was they had a right to defend themselves as they were exercising their Second Amendment rights and, under Missouri law, could use deadly force against intruders.

Mark McCloskey commented on the incident, “They broke down our gate, they trespassed on our property. Not a single one of those people are now charged with anything. We’re charged with felonies that could cost us four years of our lives and our law license.”

Missouri Governor, Mike Parson, said he would pardon the McCloskeys if they are convicted of any criminal offenses.

McCloskey is the only political outsider as he is a personal injury lawyer. He is gunning for retiring Republican Senator Roy Blunt’s seat.
