Biden Opposes Jan 6 Presidential Commission

Joe Biden has come out against establishing a January 6th Presidential commission after republicans blocked the establishment of a congressional committee to investigate the riot.

Biden would rather have congress establish its own investigation according to White House officials. He will continue urging them to do so.

“Congress was attacked on that day, and President Biden firmly agrees with Speaker Pelosi that Congress itself has a unique role and ability to carry out that investigation,” White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said. She went on to explain the the President does not have any plans to establish his own commission.

Many of Biden’s supporters criticized him over the decision on Twitter.

This attack, was on Capitol grounds, but it is unclear as to why the  government is not interested in launching congressional commissions into Black Lives Matter, and Antifa riots on federal property. These riots were far more abundant and often far more destructive.

“The events of January 6th were an unprecedented assault on our democracy — and he believes they deserve a full, and independent, investigation to determine what transpired and ensure it can never happen again,” Jen Psaki went on.

As a result of the January 6th Capitol siege, President Trump was impeached in the house, and banned from virtually all social media platforms for “inciting violence”.

There was however, no evidence to prove that any violence was incited. In fact the former Presidents rhetoric proves the opposite. In his January 6th speech he urged his supporters to remain peaceful.

“I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard.” Trump said at the end of his speech.
