White House press secretary Jen Psaki refused to comment multiple times when asked about Hunter Biden’s laptop and her previous comments.
RealClearPolitics reporter Philip Wegmann said “The New York Times has authenticated emails that appear to have come from a laptop abandoned by Hunter Biden in Delaware”.
“The president previously said that the New York Post story about this was ‘a bunch of garbage’ and that it was a ‘Russian plant.’ Does he stand by that assessment?” Wegmann added.
“I’d point you to the Department of Justice and also to Hunter Biden’s representatives. He doesn’t work in the government,” Psaki responded.
Psaki was asked about the subject again and specifically about her past comments that the laptop was “Russian disinformation”.
“You were asked about Hunter Biden’s laptop. You also in October 2020 dismissed it as ‘Russian disinformation.’ Do you stand by that assessment?” asked Rob Crilly of the Daily Mail.
“Again, I’d point you to the Department of Justice and Hunter Biden’s representatives. I’m a spokesperson for the United States. He doesn’t work for the United States,” Psaki responded.
On Wednesday, a report from the New York Times confirmed the authenticity of Hunter Biden’s infamous laptop, which was left in a Delaware repair shop in 2019.
The New York Post was once banned on Twitter for posting material related to the story while the Times said it was “Russian disinformation” and called the Post’s reporting “unsubstantiated”.
