Justice Department To Intervene In Election Audits

The Department Justice has officially become involved with election audits.

NBC reported that Attorney General Merrick Garland said that the Justice Department would “scrutinize post-election audits.” These audits are happening in places like Georgia and Arizona.

“We will also partner with other federal agencies to combat election disinformation that potentially tries to suppress the vote,” The Attorney General said.

“Finally, we have not been blind to the dramatic increase in menacing and violent threats against all manner of state and local election workers, ranging from the highest administrators to volunteer poll workers. Such threats undermine our electoral process and violate a myriad of federal laws,” and will be dealt with aggressively, he announced.

Garland also plans to double the amount of department employees dedicated to “protecting voting rights.” These employees also might as well be dedicated to weakening the integrity of the electoral process.

Their main goal is to fight against GOP legislating regarding the elections. It is believed by some Americans that these laws suppress minority voters. This is not the truth.

Garland announced that he plans to look specifically at new state laws that “restrict voters”

“We are scrutinizing new laws that seek to curb voter access and where we see violations, we will not hesitate to act. We are also scrutinizing current laws and practices in order to determine whether they discriminate against Black voters and other voters of color,” he said.

Virtually all other democratic countries require ID’s to vote. The fact that some states in our nation do not require identification is astonishing.

“There are plenty of things up for debate in America, but the right of all eligible Americans to vote is not one of them,” Garland said.

All Americans reserve the right to vote, as long as they can prove that they are an eligible American citizen who has not already voted, and lives where they say they live.

Some of these laws also prohibit gifts from being handed out at polling sites from advocacy groups. Even New York, arguably the most liberal state in America has, and has had this rule in place for years. Suddenly as red states begin adopting the same rules, they are labeled as racist and anti democracy.
