Texas Governor To Construct Border Wall

As President Joe Biden and Kamala Harris neglect the border crisis, state leaders are taking action.

On Thursday Governor Greg Abbot of Texas announced at a border security summit that he would soon unveil a plan to construct a border wall. Present at the summit were law enforcement officers, mayors and county judges.

“I will announce next week the plan for the state of Texas to begin building the border wall in the state of Texas,” Abbott declared.

“The border crisis is no laughing matter,” he continued, “It’s not a tourism site for members of Congress to visit and then return to D.C. and do nothing.”

Though members of Congress at least visit the border. The Vice President of the United States has not visited the border, and has no current plans to. This became clear during an interview conducted by NBC’s Lester Holt.

Texas in particular has felt the consequences of the border crisis. Small towns and cities alike suffer in the lone star state from mass amounts of migrants flooding in.

“One thing we know and that is a border crisis is plaguing the farmers, the ranchers, the residents of the entire border region,” the Governor said.

“Your law enforcement officers, they are having to redirect their resources to deal with the border as opposed to deal what they normally deal with which is keeping your communities safe every day,” he explained.

This causes a diversion of resources that otherwise could be used to save lives. It also creates a tax burden. The situation forces tax dollars to be spent dealing with non citizens.

Conservative Twitter users appeared over joyed by the news Thursday, showing their support for a leader that takes action.
