A house democrat has broken ranks in an unhinged tweet using slurs to describe a random person who disagreed with his ideals on Twitter.
The Daily Caller reports, that Democratic Illinois Rep. Jesús “Chuy” García claims a tweet that was sent from his account laced with profanities and using a slur to refer to mentally disabled people was “unauthorized” Saturday
A user had responded to a tweet from Garcia regarding the ban if semi-automatic rifles which account for a very small percentage of homicide in America.
“Never even heard of this guy and I won’t comply even if his silly law passes,” the user under the name “Anarcho3D,” said.
“You are borderline retarded, ya fucking dipshit.” the congressman’s account responded to the tweet. It’s unclear if the tweet was actually written by Garcia.
“Last night a member of Congressman García’s staff posted an unauthorized tweet from the Congressman’s account using profanities and offensive language to individuals living with disabilities. The language used was absolutely inappropriate and inconsistent with Congressman García’s history, values, and character,” a statement from the representative’s spokesperson said.
“The individual responsible will be held accountable and appropriate disciplinary action will be taken,” the statement ended.
