Canadian Police Arrest Citizens For Bringing Fuel To Protest Trucks

The Canadian police have actually begun arresting individuals for possession of gasoline.

Ottawa police said in a statement, “anyone found bringing fuel to the demonstration trucks in the red zone could be subject to arrest and charges.” As a result of this statement, hundreds of Canadians marched through the streets with jerrycans, filled and empty.

Why carry empty jerrycans? Well, it would appear that the police are entirely unable to tell who they should arrest. It would be impossible to tell which individuals have full cans, and which have empty without inspecting each can.

The demonstrators desire one thing, and one thing only. For there to be an end to all COVID-19 related restrictions that damage the economy and depress the people of Canada.

In addition to the illegal fuel, a Canadian judge has also apparently outlawed the honking of truck horns in downtown Ottawa for 10 days. These are all, obviously measures to quell the lawful protest that is happening in the nation’s capital.

One 78-year-old great grandfather was thrown around by the Canadian police and arrested for allegedly honking his car horn and giving a thumbs up to the truck driving protestors. A viral video showing the event circulated around social media early in the week.

Canadians, just like Americans have a protected right to protest against government action. Our neighbor to the north has however disregarded these right-bearing documents that protect the truckers.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau insists that the protestors are “disrupting” the daily lives of Canadians – but fails to understand the sheer irony. The protestors are in Ottawa because COVID-19 restrictions were disrupting their lives.
