Bill Gates: Trump should be allowed back on social media

Newly appointed Hawking Fellow, Bill Gates KBE, co-chair of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, speaks after receiving the Professor Hawking Fellowship 2019 at the Cambridge Union, Cambridge, Monday October 7, 2019. The Professor Hawking Fellowship was founded by the Cambridge Union Society in 2017 and named in honour of Professor Stephen Hawking. While big tech continues to wage war on the conservative movement, Bill Gates has turned his back and taken a stand. He claims that Trump should be allowed to return to social media despite his “corrosive” language regarding election fraud.

The former president has been banned on just about every platform you could imagine. Including platforms that he’s never been on.

Typically a used is banned from a platform when they violate the rules while using that platform. Despite this, Trump is banned from places like Tik Tok, where he never held an account in the first place.

But the lost stretches further. He is banned from Facebook, Reddit, Snapchat, Twitter, and others.

Fox News Wrote:

“Gates, asked during an interview with CNBC whether he would let Trump back on social media if he were a member of Facebook’s oversight board, suggested he would do so.

Gates suggested that if social media companies allow Trump to return, they could slap any false statements he makes with a warning label.”

In Bill Gates own words: “I think at some point he probably will be allowed back on and probably should be allowed back on,”

Traditionally Gates has always voiced more liberal ideas. This should be a wake up call for those who continue to put this off, and act as if big tech censorship is no big deal.
