Amid the current invasion of Ukraine, Russian President Vladimir Putin released a statement. In the Statement, he warned other countries to stay out of Russian business and not to interfere with their campaign.
“Whoever would try and stop us and further create threats to our country, to our people should know that Russia’s response will be immediate.” He Said. “And lead to you such consequences that you have never faced in history.”
Putin seemed to allude to potential nuclear strikes if any nation attempts to interfere with Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
“We are ready for any outcome,” Putin concluded. There appears to be essentially no legitimate reason for western powers to interfere in the first place. Ukraine is not a NATO ally and it does not appear that Russia intends to expand its invasion further into Europe.
Currently, the United States has over 10,000 troops stationed in Poland. The U.S. forces are a contribution to NATO’s reaction force.
The reaction force stands read just in case Russia launches an attack against any other European country or NATO allies.
Many western leaders have decided to levy financial sanctions against Russia as a punishment for the good shed they’ve caused.
