Taliban Hold Military Parade With US Equipment

The Taliban recently held a military parade in one of Afghanistan’s largest cities, showing off the U.S. military equipment they acquired after the messy withdrawal in August.

The parade passed through the Kandahar region and members drove past in armored Humvees. Helicopters were also seen flying above the parade.

Reportedly, the parade was conducted to celebrate the inauguration of the new “Islamic Emirate Army”.

Onlookers gathered on the road as the military drove past while music played in the background.

When the United States withdrew from Afghanistan, “Most of the American and Afghan military equipment at Kabul’s airport was destroyed,” reported Trey Yingst from Fox News.

“That’s not the case for the rest of Afghanistan. There are thousands of Humvees, aircraft and other critical pieces of military equipment left behind now in the hands of the Taliban,” Yingst added.

GOP lawmakers had written a letter to Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin asking the Pentagon to provide information on what equipment had been left in Afghanistan
