Dozens of left-wing activists gathered at Turning Point USA’s Student Action Summit on Saturday at the Tampa Convention Center in Florida.
Several videos were shared over the weekend on Twitter of protesters yelling and harassing people attending the event.
Human Events host Jack Posobiec posted a video showing the crowd of protesters clashing with conservatives outside the summit.
In another video of the scene, Posobiec started leading the crowd in chants of “USA” before Tampa Bay Police arrived to separate the groups.
The Post Millennial’s Katie Daviscourt posted footage of a protester threatening attendees saying “I have two words for Turning Point USA and everyone involved with it, be scared. Actually, be terrified”.
“You will never have any place in our city. You will never have glory in our history and I will never explain my existence to anybody who goes in or out of that building,” the protester continued.
Other protesters called for Republicans to “get out of Florida,” chanted through megaphones, and screamed in the faces of others.
At one point, an attendee dressed as Uncle Sam was seen confronting protesters. The man was dancing and covering a woman’s megaphone with his hat.
“The protestors were organized by a handful of activist groups such as Florida For Change, Tampa Bay Community Action Committee, and Women’s Voices of SW Florida,” reported the Post Millennial.
The summit began on Friday, July 22, and continued through Sunday. Guest speakers included several senators and representatives, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, and Donald Trump.
