Harris Deny’s Republican Pressure Was An Influence In Border Trip

After months of Republican pressure Kamala Harris has finally committed to a border trip, she claims it wasn’t a factor.

Fox News reported, “A spokesperson for Vice President Kamala Harris on Thursday insisted that pressure from Republicans was not a factor in her decision to visit the El Paso Central Processing Center on Friday amid a surge in migration.”

“The White House has insisted that Harris was tapped by President Biden in March to take on the root cause of the problem. The Biden administration has portrayed the border crisis as an issue that was inherited from the previous administration. “

Donald Trump however claims the opposite. He indicated in a statement after the Vice President’s announcement that the Biden admin inherited the “strongest border in American history” and then created the worst border in American history.

The former President also said that Kamala would have “never gone” to the border if he and Governor Greg Abbott from Texas had not made plans to the same.

A spokesperson for Harris, Symone Sanders was asked if this was the VP “bowing to political pressure” from Republicans, or even some Democrats.

“This administration does not take their cues from Republican criticism, nor from the former President of the United States of America. We have said, over a number of different occasions and the vice president has said, over the course over the last three months, that she would go to the border. She has been before. She would go again. She would go when it was appropriate, when it made sense.” She said.

It is almost shocking, that Harris, being in charge of the border has waited this long to actually visit, and witness first hand what is going on there. This is exactly the reason that Republicans and Democrats alike have been pushing on her so hard to do so.
