Federal Law Allows Employers To Force Worker Vaccination.

Ironically, the “Equal Employment Opportunity Commission” has updated guidance that allows employers to force workers to get vaccinated. Employers are also legally allowed to provide cash incentives to employees who receive the vaccine.

“Companies must still provide reasonable accommodation for employees who are exempt from mandatory immunization under the Americans with Disabilities Act and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act. CBS reported

A food manufacturer called “Bolthouse Foods” is providing its vaccinated employees a $500 bonus, according to the Wall Street Journal. These incentives however, must not be coercive. Dollar General is providing an extra 4 hours pay to its employees who willfully prove that they have been vaccinated for COVID 19.

Still, to this point, not a single COVID-19 vaccine is approved by the FDA. Each is only “authorized” for Emergency Use.

According to the FDA website, “Under an EUA, FDA may allow the use of unapproved medical products, or unapproved uses of approved medical products in an emergency to diagnose, treat, or prevent serious or life-threatening diseases or conditions when certain statutory criteria have been met, including that there are no adequate, approved, and available alternatives. Taking into consideration input from the FDA, manufacturers decide whether and when to submit an EUA request to FDA.”

There are serious concerns when it comes to the COVID-19 vaccine. The vaccine has not existed for an entire year, therefore the long term effects could not have been measured.

With all of these concerns being legitimate, the federal government has allowed employers to force workers into getting the shot.
