On Thursday, former President Donald Trump said he would consider Republican Florida Governor, Ron DeSantis, as his vice-presidential candidate. Trump also said he is “100%” considering running in 2024.
In a Fox News interview, Trump said, “He’s a friend of mine. I endorsed Ron, and after I endorsed him, he took off like a rocket ship. He’s done a great job as governor.”
“A lot of people like that. You know, I’m just saying what I read and what you read. They love that ticket. But certainly, Ron would be considered. He’s a great guy,” Trump continued.
On the subject of running again, Trump said in the interview, “The polls show that everybody wants me to do it.”
It’s no secret that DeSantis and Trump are close.
There are pictures of them dining together in Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort as Trump’s special guest on multiple occasions for parties and fundraisers.
