Texas Diner Charges $50 To Those Who Complain About Masks

Will we ever get to a point where it is not necessary to wear masks as a society? It seems as though we daily drift further and further from that reality.

Legends Diner in Denton is charging $50 to anyone who asks about its continued mask requirements despite Texas lifting its statewide mandate earlier this month.

In a sign posted to the door of the diner, the management of Legends outlines its new policy thusly: “$50 if I have to explain why masks are mandatory, $75 if I have to hear why you disagree…”

It is well within Wayne Lacombe’s (the owner of the diner) rights to refuse service or charge those who refuse his rules. However these policies illustrate a scary reality.

“I just can’t afford to get the virus. We’d have to shut our business down,”  claimed Wayne LaCombe. Who is forty one years old.

This decision comes shortly after Texas lifts its mask mandate, and nearly one third of America’s population was vaccinated.
