Chris Wallace On Leaving Fox: It Became ‘Unsustainable’

Chris Wallace has recently come forward and stated that he no longer felt “comfortable” at Fox News.

Wallace recently moved from Fox News Sunday, over to the outlet rival CNN amid political polarization. Wallace complained about the beliefs of his co-workers and cited it as a reason for leaving.

“I’m fine with opinion: conservative opinion, liberal opinion, but when people start to question the truth – who won the 2020 election? Was Jan. 6 an insurrection? I found that unsustainable.” Wallace said in an interview.

Though the idea that the 2020 election was rigged is far-fetched and likely untrue, questioning “the truth” is the very foundation of intelligence. Blindly following whatever idea an entity decides is “the truth” is only a path to brainwashing.

Oxford defines the word “insurrection” with one word. It is simply an adjective for “rebellion”. The idea that the January 6th attack was a rebellion is an opinion, but it would appear to be one that grasps at straws.

By this standard of reasoning, the person with this position would also have to concede that the Black Lives Matter riots on government property that did real damage and called for the dismantling of America were a “rebellion” or an “insurrection” but rather we consider them riots.

The FBI’s investigation of the January 6th attack found scant evidence of real organization and planning. This was not an organized insurrection, it was a riot.

Wallace however seems to believe that using “insurrection” to describe the riot is a no-brainer, common sense, a universal truth that simply shouldn’t be questioned.

It wasn’t much of a surprise that Wallace left his job at Fox. His left-wing bias became very obvious as he moderated the 2020 presidential debate between Donald Trump and Joe Biden.

Wallace, during Trump’s 2016 campaign had asked the former President to condemn racism, and promptly he did. Aside from this, the 45th President condemned racism numerous times during his term. Despite this, Wallace again asked him to do this on the debate stage, knowing full well that Trump had done it and was not racist.
