FBI Releases New Footage of DC Pipe Bomb Suspect

It would appear that the FBI is struggling to uncover who placed pipe bombs outside of the DNC and RNC headquarters back in January.

The FBI indicated this by releasing new footage of the suspect placing the bombs whereas before only photos were available. A $100,000 reward has been posted for anyone who provides information that leads to an arrest.

The bombs were placed on January 5th in the evening and not discovered until January 6th after the Capitol siege. It is unclear if the events are connected in any way or not,

“We are asking the public to come forward with any information that could assist us, including any odd or out-of-character behavior you noticed in a family member, friend, or co-worker, leading up to or after January 5th,” the bureau said in a statement. “On the evening of January 5th, we are asking for information about an individual who you may have observed matching this description in the vicinity of North Carolina Avenue SE, and Folger Park between 6:30 p.m. and 9 p.m.” The Bureau  said

The suspect was masked and their face is not visible in the clip. Watchers are asked to pay close attention to the suspects shoes, apparel, mannerisms and body language.

The bombs were viable and if detonated could have resulted in serious injury and or death according to Steven M. D’Antuono, assistant director in charge of the FBI’s Washington field office.
