Delta Resists Vaccine Mandate And Accomplishes 90% Vaccine Rate

Very few organizations have attempted to resist implementing a vaccine mandate. Delta however, is the only United States airline to refuse.

Fox News reported, Delta Air Lines is the only U.S. carrier to hold off on enforcing a coronavirus vaccine mandate for employees and CEO Ed Bastian reported that it’s been an effective tactic for vaccination rates and compliance.

The Delta head revealed on “The Claman Countdown” that the company has reached a more than 90% vaccination rate and expects it to rise another 5% within the next month without a mandate in place.

Bastian is fully willing to allow for medical and religious accommodations, but would like as many employees vaccinated as possible.

So why has his plan been so effective? Because he’s not using tyrannical force to make his employees get the jab. He’s allowing them to choose.

Delta has remained largely able to go without cancelations due to the pandemic. Delta recorded 116 “perfect days” with 0 cancelations this year. This almost exactly reflects pre-pandemic numbers.

In comparison, Southwest Airlines which does have a vaccine mandate cancelled more than 2,000 flights in just one weekend.

“I can’t give enough thanks to the Delta team, providing a great product for our customers and it’s one of the reasons we were profitable this quarter.” Bastion said.
