CRT Parent Says He Has 1,000 Soldiers ‘Locked and Loaded’ At Board Meeting

During a Fort Worth Independent School District board meeting last week, one parent defended critical race theory and worried other parents when he claimed “I got over 1,000 soldiers ready to go”.

Parents in the Forth Worth area told Fox News that they feel threatened by the remarks made by Malikk Austin.

Hollie Plemmons, a mother of three, told Fox News “Absolutely, it made me feel threatened”. “I’m scared and I’m afraid he’s going to do something,” she added.

In his response to other parents bringing up CRT at the meeting, Austin said “For those who got an issue with this critical race theory equity, this is something I fight for, for my children”.

“How dare you come out here and talk about the things that my daddy and my grandparents went through, the lynching, the oppression, Jim Crow, and my kids are still being afflicted by this,” he continued.

“We are not our ancestors,” he said. “I got over 1,000 soldiers ready to go”.

Some attendees told Austin he should address the board, not the other parents, to which he responded “My First Amendment rights!”

Plemmons can be heard in a video offering to speak with Austin, but he answered “you’re not intelligent, you are not intelligent”.

Austin was escorted by officers out of the room after his one minute to speak ended. As he was leaving, he shouted “I’ll bring my soldiers with me next time… locked and loaded”.

Plemmons explained to Fox News that the board usually silences people who yell at meetings, but they did not stop Austin. “I felt it was completely inappropriate that the board did not stop that,” she said.

She called the board’s behavior a “double standard” because they support CRT.

Austin also spoke to Fox News and said he was not threatening anyone. “First Amendment rights, freedom of speech, need to be implemented,” he said. “That’s a term I used when I coached football. It means, ‘Prepare and get ready'”.
