Late Wednesday evening Marjorie Taylor Greene came forward saying that she had called the police on the comedian, Jimmy Kimmel.
Kimmel’s joke revolved around Will Smith slapping Greene, rather than Chris Rock. The congresswoman promptly informed the Capitol police about what she believed was a “threat of violence”.
During his barrage of Greene, Kimmel also referred to her as the “Klan mom” and implied that she was particularly upset that Ketanji Brown Jackson was confirmed to the Supreme Court.
She had previously tweeted about Mitt Romney and Susan
“Wow, where is Will Smith when you really need him?” The comedian added implying that Greene should be assaulted.
“ABC, this threat of violence against me by @jimmykimmel has been filed with the @CapitolPolice,” she said on Twitter.
Kimmel quickly shot back saying, “Officer? I would like to report a joke.” Not long after, she replied, “It’s not a joke,” adding, “your fans called my office today in direct response to you inciting physical violence towards me.”
