Over the years, Netflix seems to have grown increasingly more and more woke. The company, however, recently took a stand against its activist workers.
The New York Post reported, In light of internal dissension triggered by productions like Dave Chappelle’s controversial stand-up special, Netflix has reportedly issued a memo to its disgruntled staffers, underscoring that the streaming behemoth values the “artistic expression” of its content creators over each employee’s personal thoughts, beliefs, and lifestyles.
Netflix made it very clear, that if employees don’t like it, they can simply quit their job. It doesn’t get more blunt than that.
The memo read, “Depending on your role, you may need to work on titles you perceive to be harmful, If you’d find it hard to support our content breadth, Netflix may not be the best place for you.”
Why would Netflix issue a memo like this? Well, it seems as though the phrase “everything woke goes broke” might have some truth. It’s a business decision.
Having the company infested with wokeism only alienates customers and drives away business.
