Hunter Biden Said He’d Introduce Business Partner To Top Chinese Official

Hunter Biden told a business partner he’d be “happy” to introduce associates to a top Chinese Communist Party official during a 2013 dinner in Beijing, according to a new report.

Emails verified by Fox News Digital show that Hunter Biden received a request from James Bulger, the nephew of Boston crime boss James “Whitey” Bulger.

Bulger, a former partner with Hunter Biden in a Chinese investment firm, had asked Hunter in an email on July 22, 2014, to introduce his business partners to Tung Chee-hwa.

Chee-hwa, a billionaire, was first chief executive of Hong Kong and was serving as the vice-chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference in 2014.

In the email, Bulger asked Hunter to introduce BHR Partners company CEO Jonathan Li and Andy Lu, who was a BHR committee member, to “Mr. Tung.”

He told Hunter Biden that Li and Lu were “very keen to meet Mr Tung and discuss BHR investment targets as well as fundraising,” noting, “Both of our guys over there believe Mr Tung can be very helpful right now.”

Bulger also mentioned the dinner that Hunter attended when he joined his dad, then vice president, on a six-day trip to Asia in December 2013.

“It is my understanding that during the trip to Beijing that you made with your father, President Xi hosted a welcome dinner,” Bulger wrote.

“[A]t that dinner, you were seated right next to Mr Tung, therefore J and Andy believe it would be very helpful if you could please send a brief email to Mr Tung laying out that you are a partner and Board Member of BHR and that You would be grateful to Mr Tung if he could meet your local partners to discuss the Fund,” he continued.

“Please let me know if you can introduce these two to Mr Tung by email it is very important to our BHR intiative [sic] at this moment,” Burger concluded.

Hunter Biden responded the same day, saying “Happy to do this but I have no email address for Mr. Tung and he very well may have sat next to me but I don’t recall the two gentlemen’s names to my left and right.”

“Regardless, I would suggest the team draft an email in Mandarin and English for my approval ASAP,” he added.

“Let me reach out to Lin and J will revert ASAP,” Bulger later replied.

It’s unclear if the meeting took place or if Tung actually sat next to Hunter Biden during the 2013 dinner.

Fox News reported that Tung was on the “expected attendees” guest list for at least two state dinners at the White House during the Obama-Biden administration.

Tung was listed as the “Vice Chairman, CPPCC, former Hong Kong Chief Executive” in 2011.

The CPPCC is the “highest-ranking entity” that oversees the Chinese government’s “United Front” strategy to “co-opt and neutralize sources of potential opposition to the policies and authority of its ruling Chinese Communist Party,” according to a 2018 report by the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission.

Fox also reported that Bulger, Li, Lu and Tung didn’t responded to inquiries about the emails.
