First Migrant Bus From Texas Arrives In NYC

The first busload of illegal migrants from Texas was dropped off in New York City Friday morning.

The bus, sent by Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, arrived at Gate 14 of the Port Authority Bus Terminal. Approximately 50 migrants were aboard, reported Fox News.

“Because of President Biden’s continued refusal to acknowledge the crisis caused by his open border policies, the State of Texas has had to take unprecedented action to keep our communities safe,” Abbott said.

Dozens of buses have been sent to Washington, D.C., since April, transporting more than 6,100 migrants to the city.

“In addition to Washington, D.C., New York City is the ideal destination for these migrants, who can receive the abundance of city services and housing that Mayor Eric Adams has boasted about within the sanctuary city,” Abbott added.

“I hope he follows through on his promise of welcoming all migrants with open arms so that our overrun and overwhelmed border towns can find relief,” he continued.

Last month, NYC Mayor Eric Adams claimed Texas and Arizona had already been transporting migrants to the city.

After Abbott and Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey insisted it was the federal government, the Texas governor invited Adams to the border to “see firsthand the dire situation”.

The invitation was also extended to D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser, who recently requested that the District of Columbia National Guard be activated to help with what she called a “humanitarian crisis”.

“Our collective response and service efforts have now become overwhelmed,” Bowser wrote to Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin in July.

In D.C., the latest busload of migrants from Texas arrived late Tuesday night.
