Rep. Thomas Massie of Kentucky recently shared a video from 2015 showing Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton trying to park her car.
In the video, Norton, who was 77 years old at the time, was seen trying to park her vehicle in a tight space. In doing so, she bumped into one of the cars multiple times.
The onlookers who recorded the video can be heard saying “If she parks like that she should not be a member of Congress anymore” and “Unbelievable! No note or anything”. “If she leaves it like that, it’s the worst parking job I’ve ever witnessed”.
After her terrible parking job, which blocked the other car, Norton got out of her car and walked away.
“@SpeakerPelosi is seriously considering this person to serve as the chairwoman of the Transportation Committee,” Massie tweeted with the video.
After tried to embarrass Massie over opposing the vaccine mandate in Washington, D.C., Norton offered to “provide sandwiches this weekend to members of @RepThomasMassie’s staff who’re vaxxed + boosted but afraid they’ll get fired if they order in”.
“We appreciate the offer @EleanorNorton. Just please promise you won’t drive to get the sandwiches,” Massie responded.
“Folks, I’m not making this up,” he added, along with a link about Norton being considered by Pelosi to serve as the chairwoman of the Transportation Committee
Rep. Peter A. DeFazio announced his plans to retire from the position last year and Norton launched her bid to replace him as top Democrat on the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee.
