After a condo collapsed in Surfside Florida, the search for survivors continues.
Governor Ron DeSantis has welcomed an Israeli Defense Force rescue team to aide in the effort, however much of the rubble still remains.
The Daily Caller wrote, “DeSantis greenlighted the Israeli team’s entry after considering the request by many families at Surfside, the home of over 2,000 Jewish residents, almost half of the total municipal population. People with Jewish heritage are reportedly among the dozens missing.”
“Expressing frustration toward DeSantis, Washington Post reporter Hannah Dreier alleged that the governor’s response to the disaster has been insufficient. However, according to the Federalist, Dreier never reached out to the governor’s press team for comment regarding Florida’s timely approval of deployment by the Federal Emergency Management Administration. “
Despite DeSantis pulling in professional rescue teams from allied nations to aid in recovery leaders and journalists still blame the governor for “insufficient resources.”
The IDF’s skills in search and rescue are refined as they have been involved in missions around the world hat required such skills.
DeSantis has been and continues to be a stern supporter of Israel and its fight against terrorists in the Gaza Strip known as Hamas.
