Half a dozen Republican representatives have been charged a $500 fine for refusing to wear a cloth face covering on the house floor.
Each representative was given a written warning prior to the fine. Most disposed of the warnings. Among those warned were Marjorie Taylor Green, Lauren Boebert, Thomas Massie, Chip Roy, Bob Good, Louie Gohmert, and Mary Miller.
When Thomas Massie was given his written warning, he tweeted that he had “filed” the letter with an image attached below of the paper in a trash bin. A suitable cabinet.
Green, posted a video where she put the letter through a paper shredder. “You can’t discriminate against people simply because they won’t wear a mask,” she said. “and today, I refused to wear a mask on the House floor and I received a warning from Speaker Pelosi that leads to fines if I continue to refuse to wear a mask. Well, here’s what I think of your warning, Speaker Pelosi.”
Pelosi, says that she will not be removing the mask mandate for the house chambers.
Odd that someone so focused on mask wearing, would be caught hugging others in a crowded White House room wearing nothing on her face.
This is the doctrine of the left. Especially when it comes to COVID 19. Laws for thee, but not for me. Do as I say, but not as I do.
