Infamous Democrat Elizabeth Warren has predicted that her party is bound for “big losses” if they are unable to deliver what they’ve promised to voters.
The idea that this would even be possible before mid-terms becomes less and less likely as the days go on. Ultimately, Build Back Better which contained much of the party’s platform failed, the little that remains has to do with gun control which has recently become Biden’s focus.
“Republicans are betting that a stalled Biden agenda won’t give Democrats enough to run on in the midterm elections — and they might be right,” Warren told the New York Times.
“Democrats win elections when we show we understand the painful economic realities facing American families and convince voters we will deliver meaningful change, to put it bluntly: if we fail to use the months remaining before the elections to deliver on more of our agenda, Democrats are headed toward big losses in the midterms.” She explained.
Since 2020, Democrats have been unable to deliver on much of anything. Their time has been dedicated to revoking Trump-era policy that largely gets reinstated by federal courts anyway, or creating even more issues than existed before.
Any voters that may not have been turned away by a failure to cash in on certain promises, like for example forgiveness of student loan debt, are likely pushed away by crippling inflation and a broken supply chain.
Warren specifically called on Biden bro act on his promise to forgive some student loan debt. While this might not be something that all Americans think is sustainable, it is something Biden promised, though he likely never had any intention to fulfill such a promise.
