DeSantis Asked If Big Tech Bill Is For Trump, Silences Reporter

With Florida’s Governor at the forefront of the fight against big tech censorship, many have speculated that he is attempting to help former President Donald Trump. DeSantis recently, put that speculation to rest.

Fox News reported: “Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, R., shot down a Miami Herald reporter on Monday who accused him of introducing his new Big Tech censorship bill that allows residents to sue Big Tech companies solely for the benefit of former President Donald Trump, who was banned from Twitter this year. “

The Governor said that this bill would exist for the benefit of all Floridians. “But I do think that’s another issue that’s been brought to bear,” DeSantis said. “When you deplatform the president of the United States, but you let Ayatollah Khamenei talk about killing Jews, that is wrong.”

“This session, we took action to ensure that ‘We the People’, real Floridians across the Sunshine State, are guaranteed protection against the Silicon Valley elites,”  he said last month in a statement.

The fact of the matter is that if the sitting President of the United States is at risk, we are all at risk. Free speech is an integral part of American culture. DeSantis is working to keep it that way.

Unfortunately the Florida Governor cannot pass similar legislation outside of his state, hopefully more state leaders follow his lead
