Airline Workers Call Police On Ted Cruz After Missing Flight

Ted Cruz found himself in a heated confrontation with airline workers at  Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport after having missed his flight. In the video posted on social media, Cruz appears annoyed. But not yelling or making a scene. This did not stop workers from calling the police to deal with the U.S. Senator.

The video appears to have been filmed from behind the desk, by another employee. Cruz was wearing a mask in compliance with federal law but appears to have a look of annoyance on his face as he nodded in agreement with everything the workers, and the officer said.

Cruz has missed his flight and the airline had informed him that it would be a struggle to get him another connection due to spring breakers. The left ate the video up on Twitter, comparing it to his Cancun vacation while winter storms ravaged Texas.

The Senator was, to his luck able to rebook and depart later the same evening. During the Confrontation, it is completely unknown what Cruz or the airport employees were saying due to background noise. There did not appear to be any yelling on either side.

It’s worth noting, however, that the video is only 23 seconds long and there may be more to the story that wasn’t captured.

‘One of our Public Safety Officers (PSO) was in the ticket lobby and was asked to assist with a frustrated passenger at the United ticket counter (which is not unusual). The passenger had missed the check-in window for his flight and re-booking options were limited out of Bozeman due to Spring Break,’ said one of the employees.

The officer seen in the video later said that he had no idea who the man he was dealing with was, or that he was a Senator. He only found out later, though it’s clear that some employees did know Cruz’s identity due to the fact that they recorded the seemingly mundane encounter.
