Recently Austria has mandated a lockdown for all unvaccinated residents over the age of 12 years old. Unvaccinated persons are not allowed to leave their homes for anything aside from work, and to buy groceries.
A former Obama cabinet member has praised the lockdown that strips unvaccinated individuals of their free will.
Fox News reported, Former Secretary of Education Arne Duncan took to Twitter Monday to praise Austria’s controversial decision to lock down unvaccinated citizens due to an uptick in COVID-19 cases, raising questions on whether a similar policy could be embraced by other countries.
Duncan tweeted, “If you a danger to yourself and others, you must remain at home. If you aren’t, you are free to roam around the country. Austria is onto something…”
Duncan forgets that those who feel endangered by the unvaxxed have every right to remain safe at their own homes. Simply not wanting to be in contact with certain types of people doesn’t warrant striping those certain people of their rights.
AP called the tyrannical lockdown “the most drastic of a string of measures” by European countries in response to the “ongoing” pandemic.
In Austria the police are allowed to “spot check” individuals and inquire about their vaccination status while they are in public.
In the United States, this would be a grave constitutional violation. Austria however, does not play by our rules.
Despite our Constitution, many social media activists have called for a similar mandate to be instituted in America.
