After 21 years of military service, Tom Barrett a Republican State Senator from Michigan has announced that he will be running for Congress in response to Biden’s lack of leadership.
Fox News reported, In his campaign’s video announcement, Barrett cited Biden’s military vaccine mandate and deadly Afghanistan withdrawal as two reasons for why he’s running, saying he would be leaving the Army after over two decades of service to campaign for the seat.
The state Senator has specific quarrel with Biden ignoring exemptions to his vaccine mandate for service members.
Barrett feels as though he has an opportunity to be a voice for those who feel voiceless, or as he puts it “can’t stand up for themselves.”
The campaign will also have a focus on alleged “economic disaster” brought about by the current presidential administration.
On top of this, Barrett will be fighting for parents to have a say in the education of their children.
“We’re going to be fighting back to give parents a voice in their children’s education and put them back in the driver’s seat.” He said.
There’s no doubt that parents should have a say in how their children are educated at a public institution that they pay for with their tax dollars, and are required by law to send their kids to.
Twitter users have taken to accusing Barrett of being an “anti-vaxxer” despite no real evidence to back the claim. Tom is against forced vaccinations, not vaccinations in general. He advocates for medical freedom.
