Arizona Sen. Kyrsten Sinema was followed by immigration activists into a bathroom at Arizona State University while they demanded a “pathway to citizenship”.
They first confronted the Senator at her classroom and proceeded to follow her into the bathroom. One of the activists said ‘We knocked on doors for you to get you elected. Just how we got you elected, we can get you out of office if you don’t support what you promised us”.
Despite Sinema closing a stall door, the activists continued to talk to her in the bathroom. They demanded she support Biden’s “Build Back Better” plan and take action for a pathway to citizenship for illegal migrants.
One person said “I was brought here to the United States when I was 3 years old and in 2010 my grandparents both got deported because of S.B. 1070”. “And I’m here because I definitely believe that we need a pathway to citizenship”, they added.
Sinema did not respond to the activists and ignored them as she washed her hands.
Another video was posted where the activists continued to follow Sinema back to her classroom while they chanted “Build back better, pass the bill!” for almost two minutes straight. Sinema closed the door on them as they stood in the hall chanting.
