On Tuesday, Jimmy Kimmel returned to his late-night show after being gone for the past few months and began mocking unvaccinated people.
While Kimmel was on summer vacation, several celebrities guest hosted the show for him. He started the show off by explaining how he’d hoped things would be “back to normal” when he returned and his audience wouldn’t need masks.
Shortly after, Kimmel began criticizing those who remain unvaccinated. “It was not a fun Labor Day weekend COVID-wise”, he said.
Kimmel continued, “Dr. Fauci said if hospitals get any more overcrowded they’re going to have to make some very tough choices about who gets an ICU bed”. “That choice doesn’t seem so tough to me. ‘Vaccinated person having a heart attack? Yes, come right in, we’ll take care of you. Unvaccinated guy who gobbled horse goo? Rest in peace, wheezy”, he added.
He referenced ivermectin multiple times during his monologue, specifically calling it “horse goo”. There have been reports of humans using the treatment, which is normally used for parasitic worms in animals, for the coronavirus.
“We’ve still got a lot of pan-dimwits out there. People are still taking this ivermectin. The poison control center has seen a spike in calls from people taking this livestock medicine to fight the coronavirus, but they won’t take the vaccine. It’s like if you’re a vegan and you’re like, ‘No, I don’t want a hamburger, give me that can of Alpo instead’.

The FDA has warned that ivermectin is not safe for human consumption and is not linked to treating COVID-19. Kimmel mentioned that Merck, the company behind ivermectin, released a statement telling people that it is not an effective treatment for COVID-19.
Many are not pleased with Kimmel’s statements. The Daily Caller found a tweet from 2017 where he said health care isn’t “a left/right issue”. Jack Posobiec, a former Navy intel officer, tweeted Wednesday asking Kimmel if he would deny an ICU bed to an unvaccinated illegal immigrant.
