9/11 Families Say Biden Is UNWELCOME At Memorial Events

Unless President Biden agrees to declassify government documents regarding 9/11, families are asking him not to participate in any memorial events for the 20th anniversary.

Many believe these documents will connect Saudi Arabia to the terrorist attacks.

Nearly 1,800 survivors, first responders, and family members released a statement Friday asking Biden to skip the memorials in New York, Pennsylvania and at the Pentagon unless he releases the documents.

We cannot in good faith, and with veneration to those lost, sick, and injured, welcome the president to our hallowed grounds until he fulfills his commitment.

Statement from those directly affected by 9/11 events

The group has expressed their deep frustration with the government for keeping information about 9/11 a secret from the American people. In particular, they are seeking out evidence that links Saudi Arabia.

In the years following the terrorist attacks, the 9/11 Commission did not find evidence implicating Saudi Arabia. The Saudi government has denied any connection.

Last October, Biden gave families hope that information would finally be released when he said “The 9/11 Families are right to seek full truth and accountability”. He also claimed he would direct his Attorney General to “personally examine the merits of all cases where the invocation of privilege is recommended”.

Thousands have fought for 20 years to learn the truth about the horrific events that occurred on 9/11, but they are fearful another year will go by with questions unanswered.

But if President Biden reneges on his commitment and sides with the Saudi government, we would be compelled to publicly stand in objection to any participation by his administration in any memorial ceremony of 9/11.

In a little over a month, families, survivors, and others will gather in honor of those that lost their lives 20 years ago.
