Dr. Sanjay Gupta, CNN’s chief medical correspondent, was recently featured on Joe Rogan’s podcast despite the network’s previous attacks on him.
They sat for a long interview and Rogan grilled Gupta on children being forced to get vaccinated against COVID-19 even though they have minimal risk. Rogan also questioned Gupta on why CNN was reporting that he took “horse dewormer”.
When Rogan tested positive for the virus, CNN repeatedly covered his announcement and brought up his past comments on the vaccine.
Don Lemon had said “No one is happy for gloating over the fact, at least not here, that Joe Rogan tested positive for COVID, OK? … But Joe Rogan has been dismissive of vaccines”. “You have a responsibility. You have a responsibility when you have a platform as big as Joe Rogan’s”, he added.
They also criticized his use of ivermectin in treating COVID. They reported that he took “horse deworming medication” instead of a prescribed treatment. During the interview, Gupta said “If you got a human pill, because there were people who were taking it, the veterinary medication, and you’re not obviously because you got it from a doctor, so it shouldn’t be called that”.
Dr. Fauci had commented on the rumor and called Rogan “one of the enemies of public health”.
Gupta and Rogan also discussed myocarditis in young boys after receiving the vaccine. Rogan referenced a study that reported boys ages 12-15 were 4 to 6 times more likely to get diagnosed with myocarditis. It seemed that Gupta dodged a lot of his questions and Rogan had to keep pushing him.
