Joe Biden has drawn attention with recent comments regarding a “new world order” this has been a phrase used by Ukrainian members of parliament, as well as the Ukrainian President himself. Now it has been echoed by America’s own President.
“Now is a time when things are shifting. We’re going to — there’s going to be a new world order out there, and we’ve got to lead it. And we’ve got to unite the rest of the free world in doing it.” Biden said. The Independent has claimed that Biden “inadvertently” drew the attention of conspiracy theorists but also noted that the New World Order conspiracy dates back decades.
So why, knowing this information would Joe Biden incite a phrase knowing that it would catch the ears of cooky conspiracy theorists? Presuming that the conspiracy can be written off, it seems quite reckless for Joe Biden to invoke the words so closely associated with it? This could be likened to if the President were to casually mention the Illuminati.
This has been a hot phrase lately. The first time we heard it in recent months was when a Ukrainian member of Parliament mentioned fighting for the “New World Order” during a Fox News interview.
Then again when Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, desperate for the establishment of a no-fly zone asked Noe Biden to become the “Leader of the World”, seeming to invoke a one-world government that the Conspiracy is so closely associated with.
Perhaps Ukrainian officials do not understand the divisive nature of the phrase and the conspiracy behind it, but Joe Biden certainly should. Despite this, he used it anyway. As the Independent noted, the conspiracy often has anti-Semitic undertones, the situation seems almost as if the President was intentionally stoking the flames of conspiracy theorists to antagonize them and further divide the country.
