Musk plans to create an alternative to the widely-used AI chatbot ChatGPT, named “TruthGPT.” This AI will focus on seeking the ultimate truth and understanding the nature of the universe. According to Musk, an AI that desires to comprehend humanity is less likely to pose a threat to its existence.
In his conversation with Carlson, Musk raised concerns that ChatGPT may be trained to adhere to political correctness. He also advocated for the regulation of artificial intelligence, citing his strong support for the cause. Musk considers AI to be more dangerous than cars or rockets, with the potential to annihilate humanity.
I saw it happening from well before GPT-1, which is why I tried to warn the public for years.
The only one on one meeting I ever had with Obama as President I used not to promote Tesla or SpaceX, but to encourage AI regulation.

Musk has recently incorporated a new venture, X.AI Corp, as indicated by a Nevada business filing. The Nevada secretary of state’s office lists Musk as the director and his long-time advisor, Jared Birchall, as the secretary.
Despite his concerns about AI, Musk has a history of involvement in the field. He was an early investor in OpenAI, the organization behind ChatGPT, and co-chaired its board when it was founded as a nonprofit AI research lab in 2015. However, Musk resigned from the board in early 2018, a decision attributed to Tesla’s growing focus on AI.
During the interview, Musk disclosed that he had conceived the name and concept for OpenAI. He expressed disappointment over OpenAI’s close alliance with Microsoft and its transition away from a nonprofit organization. Musk’s departure from OpenAI was partly due to his commitment to Tesla and disagreements with the organization’s leadership.
Elon Musk will be starting his own version of an artificial intelligence chatbot called "TruthGPT" which he says will be a "maximum truth-seeking AI," per FOX.

Though there have been inquiries into the quality of Tesla’s AI systems, Musk’s dedication to AI safety and unbiased technology remains evident through his plans to launch TruthGPT. This new AI aims to promote objective understanding and contribute positively to the future of artificial intelligence.
