The DC City Council voted 12-1 on a bill that would allow noncitizens to vote in local election. I remember a time when democrats were against foreign interference in elections.
Senator Tom Cotton is introducing a resolution in Congress to block this recent move by the city of DC which allows illegal immigrants to vote in elections.
Tom Cotton called this an “insane policy”.
This “insane policy” was introduced but council member Charles Allen, says that if noncitizens are otherwise qualified to vote, they can do so in local elections as long as they have lived there for at least 30 days.
That’s it 30 days? lol. Almost like they have a power incentive for these ILLEGALS to vote.
The only vote against the bill was by Mary Cheh, who said the 30-day time period was too short.
“Allowing illegal immigrants to vote is an insult to every voter in America,” “Every single Democrat should be on the record about whether they support this insane policy.” – Cotton
The Washington Post called it a “bad idea” because it could affect the Democrat’s chances in the midterms.
“There’s nothing in this measure to prevent employees at embassies of governments that are openly hostile to the United States from casting ballots Or foreign students who are studying abroad in Washington for a semester.” – Washington Post
