White House Pushes Boosters Again Claims High Re-infectivity

The White House COVID-19 response coordinator Dr. Ashish Jha is warning Americans of reinfection and urging the nation to get boosted.

We’re seeing people who are not up to date on their vaccines have a lot of breakthrough infections.” He said during an ABC interview just after claiming that there is a massive increase in reinfection.

Fox News reported, The COVID-19 omicron subvariant BA.5 took over as the dominant variant in the U.S. at the start of July, accounting for over 53% of cases nationwide, according to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

The CDC currently lists the 7-day average of deaths at 352. Though this number is still higher than we’d like it to be, it’s certainly evidence that the virus is evolving to a far less lethal state.

This is the natural course of deadly viruses. They kill quickly and rapidly only to devolve into a more sustainable form, viruses are not benefitted by killing their hosts. Instead they become far less deadly and far more infectious.

“We’ve got to keep building new generations of vaccines, we’ve got to make sure we have adequate treatments. We can get through this, but not if we take our eye off our ball,” Jha said.
