Truckers in the United States are preparing to follow those in Canada and form a convoy that will travel from California to Washington, D.C.

A Facebook group called “Convoy to DC 2022”, which has more than 100,000 members, is organizing a convoy to D.C. and claims dates will be shared soon.

“We are part of many large groups who believe in our founding fathers. We believe everyone has a voice. We support our freedom. Help us spread the word about this group and together we all can make it a better place.. God Bless America,” the page says.

Those protesting say they are against the current vaccine mandates that require truckers to show proof of vaccination in order to cross the border between the U.S. and Canada.

Jeremy Johnson, an admin on the Facebook page and the host of his own Facebook page “The Disrespected Trucker,” said in a video that the “March to Freedom” convoy would start March 1. More details will be provided in the near future.

One member Robert MacEwen wrote “When is this starting and who do I need to contact?” “I am an owner operator of a log truck here in (Washington) state and I have plenty that would be willing to join. Thanks”.

Cassie Springer posted “I lost my job as a nurse!” “Thankfully we own a trucking company that I can work for. Let’s head to DC and stop this crap!” she added.

The American Trucking Associations has urged leaders in Ottawa and Washington to reconsider the cross-border mandates to “avoid any further economic disruptions,” according to a Wall Street Journal report.

Truckers and other supporters are planning on joining the convoy from all over the country.
