Up-Tick In Homeless Deaths Caused By Overdoses – Not COVID-19

Reports indicate that Los Angeles has experienced a 56% spike in homeless deaths. The left has continuously argued that the increase is a result of the pandemic.

Fox News reported, Between April 1, 2020, and March 31, 2021, the county recorded 1,988 deaths of homeless people, up from 1,271 deaths during the same period a year earlier, according to a report released Friday from the county’s Department of Public Health.

New data shows the contrary. The majority of new deaths have actually come as a result of drug overdoses and not the COVID-19 virus.

In both years, 2020, and 2021 the deaths resulting from drug overdoses increased by 78%. This makes drug overdoses the leading cause of death in LA. In 2020 there were 402 deadly drug overdoses compared to 179 from COVID, and in 2021 there was 715 overdoses.

The left constantly points to the right wing, calling them purveyors of misinformation. This situation only further highlights their hypocrisy regarding mis/disinformation.

The majority of the problem is derived from methamphetamine and/or, fentanyl. Experts say that the pandemic likely caused an uptick in drug usage.
