In a sweeping national security move, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard has officially revoked the security clearances of 15 high-profile political figures, including Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and Hillary Clinton, following a directive from President Donald Trump.

The decision reflects the administration’s determination to tighten control over classified information and prevent individuals no longer in office—or seen as politically compromised—from maintaining access to sensitive national intelligence.

Full List of Revoked Clearances

In addition to Biden, Harris, and Clinton, the list includes:

  • Antony Blinken, former Secretary of State

  • Jake Sullivan, former National Security Advisor

  • Lisa Monaco, former Deputy Attorney General

  • Mark Zaid, attorney involved in past intelligence leaks

  • Norman Eisen, former Obama ethics czar

  • Letitia James, New York Attorney General

  • Alvin Bragg, Manhattan DA

  • Andrew Weissmann, former Mueller team prosecutor

  • Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger, former GOP members turned anti-Trump critics

  • Fiona Hill and Alexander Vindman, key figures in the first Trump impeachment

The order also revokes clearance and access for any other members of Joe Biden’s family and bars these individuals from entering secure U.S. government facilities without escort.

Gabbard: “National Security Comes First”

DNI Tulsi Gabbard emphasized that the decision was made in the interest of national security, not politics. She pointed to the growing concern over how former officials—many of whom have used their past roles to shape political narratives—retain access to sensitive intelligence.

“It is not in the interest of the American people to allow individuals with no current government responsibility to access highly classified material—especially when trust has been repeatedly broken,” Gabbard said.

Trump Follows Through on a Longstanding Promise

President Trump has previously expressed frustration with political operatives retaining clearances long after leaving office, often leveraging their access for media appearances, books, and political influence. The revocations fulfill a promise to “clean house” and restore accountability in the intelligence community.

“People who tried to undermine our country should not have access to classified information—period,” Trump said in a statement.

Democrats Cry Foul, But Public Support Grows

While critics on the Left are calling the move political retaliation, many Americans view it as common sense. Under the Biden administration, Trump was denied certain intelligence briefings, and figures like Hillary Clinton were found to have mishandled classified material without consequences.

Supporters argue this is a necessary course correction—finally applying the same standard to those who have exploited their former positions while undermining the country’s elected leadership.

Security, Not Sentiment

This action marks the first time in U.S. history that such a broad group of former senior officials has had their clearances revoked in one sweep. The Trump administration has made it clear: loyalty to country, not political privilege, is the new standard.
