President-elect Donald Trump is set to host a “Make America Great Again Victory Rally” at Washington, D.C.’s Capital One Arena on January 19, 2025, the day before his inauguration. The event, scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m. ET, will feature Trump as the keynote speaker, with additional speakers yet to be announced.

This rally marks Trump’s first in the nation’s capital since January 6, 2021. Earlier this week, Trump met with Washington, D.C., Mayor Muriel Bowser, who described their discussions as “great,” emphasizing a shared vision for the city to reflect the nation’s strength.

The upcoming rally follows Trump’s recent appearance at Turning Point USA’s America Fest on December 22, where he declared, “For those of us standing before you today, I can proudly proclaim that the Golden Age of America is upon us.” He also pledged that his administration would be “fully operational” within two hours of his inauguration on January 20.

As the inauguration approaches, Trump’s cabinet nominees are preparing for Senate confirmation hearings. The president-elect has cautioned that Senate Democrats may attempt to delay the confirmation process. Notably, former Rep. Matt Gaetz withdrew his nomination for attorney general following criticism, and other nominees, including Defense Secretary pick Pete Hegseth, Health and Human Services Secretary nominee Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and Director of National Intelligence nominee Tulsi Gabbard, may face challenges during confirmation.

The “Victory Rally” is expected to draw significant attention as Trump prepares to commence his second term as President of the United States.
