President-elect Donald Trump has affirmed that he will not extend preferential treatment to Elon Musk, despite Musk’s significant support during the 2024 election. In an interview with NBC News’ Kristen Welker on “Meet The Press,” Trump addressed concerns about potential favoritism toward Musk over competitors like Jeff Bezos.

When asked if Musk would receive special consideration, Trump responded, “No, Jeff Bezos called me. We’re having dinner.” He added that he has also met with other tech leaders, including Mark Zuckerberg, emphasizing that he is engaging with various industry figures without bias.

Trump noted the increased outreach from business leaders following his election victory, humorously questioning whether they would have sought meetings had he lost. He concluded, “Look, I’m getting called by everybody.”

This statement comes amid scrutiny of Musk’s substantial financial contributions to Trump’s campaign and his appointment to co-lead the newly established Department of Government Efficiency. Trump’s remarks aim to reassure the public of his commitment to impartiality in dealings with business leaders.
