The Trump administration has launched the CBP Home App, a revamped version of the CBP One App, designed to facilitate and encourage self-deportation for individuals residing illegally in the United States. This bold move is part of the administration’s broader strategy to restore law and order to the immigration system while ensuring that those in the country unlawfully have a streamlined option to leave voluntarily before facing stricter enforcement measures.

From CBP One to CBP Home: A New Direction

Under the Biden administration, the CBP One App was used to process hundreds of thousands of illegal migrants, allowing them to schedule appointments at ports of entry for parole into the U.S. Following President Donald Trump’s return to office, the app was deactivated, leaving many migrants uncertain about their status. Now, the CBP Home App replaces its predecessor with an entirely new purpose—assisting illegal aliens in self-deporting.

Through the app, users can access features such as “Submit Intent to Depart,” which enables them to document their voluntary departure and comply with U.S. immigration laws. This tool is particularly targeted at those who entered the country under Biden’s lax parole policies, giving them the opportunity to leave on their own terms before stricter enforcement policies take effect.

Noem: “Leave Now, or Face Removal”

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem emphasized the administration’s firm stance on illegal immigration, making it clear that those in the country unlawfully have two choices—self-deportation or forced removal. She stated, “The CBP Home App gives aliens the option to leave now and self-deport, so they may still have the opportunity to return legally in the future and live the American dream.”

However, Noem warned that those who fail to comply will face strict enforcement actions, including arrest, detention, and permanent bans from reentering the U.S. The administration is determined to eliminate loopholes that allowed illegal aliens to remain in the country under the previous administration, sending a strong message that the era of open borders is over.

Nationwide Enforcement and Future Policies

The CBP Home App is just one part of a larger crackdown on illegal immigration. The Trump administration is preparing a nationwide and international ad campaign, urging illegal migrants to depart voluntarily before enforcement sweeps begin. Additionally, starting April 11, a new regulation will require all illegal immigrants to register with the government or face fines, imprisonment, or immediate removal.

With the CBP Home App and other enforcement tools, the Trump administration is taking an aggressive approach to securing the border, reducing the strain on law enforcement, and ensuring that U.S. immigration laws are fully enforced. As these policies take effect, illegal migrants now have a choice—comply with the law and leave, or face the consequences of staying unlawfully.
