Maxine Waters is still at it, this time paying her daughter another $16k adding to the $1.2M in previous payments. She sent this to her in 4 separate payments in July and September of 2022.
Karen Waters has been organizing slate-mailing operations to boost her mother’s re-election since 2003, her company Progressive Connections as received more than 1.2M from Water’s campaign.
Slate-mailing is an uncommon practice in federal election. This is when a consulting firm is hired to make pamphlets that contain a list of candidates or policy measures and advises voters how to cast their ballots.
In 2004 the LA Times revealed that the Waters campaign gave $1 Million to other family members over the previous 8 years. It seems like she has a very long history of doing this, yet nothing has been done, nor do Democrats and the Democrat voters care.
Money going from campaigns to family members is not completely uncommon, both Democrats and Republicans have done it and it is normally frowned upon. If a politician wants to make a stand against money in politics and against corruption, they should immediately stop the practice.
Maxine, she has been doing this for decades and probably wont stop any time soon
