The 2025 National Football League (NFL) Draft is fast approaching, and we aim to provide the most informed Vikings supporters across the globe. Our strategy includes producing a weekly NFC North mock draft leading up to the draft week. These drafts aim to showcase the potential game plan involving draft fits, targets, and draft pick positioning of each team competing in the NFC North.
The team in dire need of new talent in this division is the Bears. However, it seems most of the teams, barring a few, are well-rounded. The Lions, for instance, need to work on beefing up their support roles, while the Packers could benefit from strengthening their defense.
As for the Vikings, they appear quite stable in terms of requirements, although alterations in the free agency could potentially shift the dynamics. This serves as our eighth iteration of the NFC North mock draft for the highly-anticipated 2025 NFL Draft cycle.
An interesting comparison arises when we consider the volume of draft picks among the teams. The Bears and Packers stand out with the highest number of draft selections (7 each), whereas the Vikings have the least amount (5). Combining the total draft picks from these four teams gives us 26.
The first round draft pick forecasted is Kelvin Banks Jr., an experienced offensive tackle hailing from Texas. Sophomore rounds then introduce Landon Jackson, a promising Edge from Arkansas, and Xavier Restrepo, a speedy wide receiver from Miami, FL.
Proceeding further into the third round, Arizona’s Jonah Savaiinaea, an offensive lineman, adds value to the draft lot. The fifth round welcomes Seth McLaughlin, the center from Ohio State with tremendous potential. Oklahoma State’s Ollie Gordon II, a running back, and Florida’s Jason Marshall, a cornerback, are on the radar for the sixth round.
The seventh round draft ends with a bang with Ty Robinson, a defensive lineman, selected from Nebraska. The first pick of the following draft cycle is predicted to be Emeka Egbuka, an impressive wide receiver from Ohio State.
The second round draft goes to Jordan Burch, a defensive tackle from Oregon. William & Mary’s offensive tackle Charles Grant would possibly be highlighted in the third round. The fourth round could bear witness to the drafting of Joshua Farmer, a defensive lineman from Florida State.
Moving ahead, we see the Danny Stutsman, a linebacker from Oklahoma, expected in the fifth round. We are likely to see Kurtis Rourke, a robust quarterback from Indiana in the sixth round and Marcus Wehr, an offensive guard from Montana State in the seventh round, concluding this set of drafts.
In the new series of drafts, Shavon Revel, a cornerback from East Carolina, is predicted for the first round. In the third round, RJ Harvey, a running back from UCF, gains attention. The fifth round is expected to bring together Will Howard, a quarterback from Ohio State, and Jonah Monheim, an offensive lineman from USC, to the fold.
We might spot Tonka Hemmingway, a defensive lineman from South Carolina, being called up in the seventh round. The first round of yet another draft series could see Donovan Ezeiruaku, an Edge from Boston College, standing in the limelight.
The second round in this series potentially introduces Donovan Jackson, an offensive lineman from Ohio State. Billy Bowman Jr., a safety from Oklahoma, could crop up in the fourth round of drafts. Then, we would likely see Jay Higgins, a linebacker from Iowa, enter the arena in the sixth round.
Finally, the seventh round draft may potentially conclude with Clay Webb, an offensive guard from Jacksonville State, and Tommi Hill, a cornerback from Nebraska, adding depth to the ever-dynamic NFL teams.
