Texas Democrats to be ARRESTED allowed by Supreme Court

The luck of fleeing Texas lawmakers has just run out.

After more than 50 Texas Democrats abandoned their posts to prevent a vote on election reform twice, Governor Greg Abbott threatened to have them arrested.

The first time, the Democrat Representatives walked out of session, and the second time they fled the state entirely.

Fox News reported, The Texas Supreme Court Tuesday voided a district judge’s temporary restraining order that blocked the threat of arrest for Democratic lawmakers who fled the state last month.

The state’s Supreme Court ruling came after Abbott and House Speaker Dade Phelan petitioned the court Monday to overturn the protection order, meaning the lawmakers could all face arrest if they return from their month-long hiatus.

These representatives are elected officials, and owe a duty to their constituents, rather than doing their job, they chose to desert it.

Without the nearly 60 lawmakers in Texas, the legislature cannot establish quorum, and pass legislation.

The Democrats claim that Republicans are attempting to push “voter suppression.” This “suppression” includes things like requiring ID to vote.

“We will continue to fight against the Republicans Voter Suppression bills,” Rep Ron Reynolds said.

His remarks are laughable, though one would have to wonder. Why would so many Democrats be so outraged by laws that increase voter security and election integrity?
