John Nolte II, a man implicated in a Seminole County slaying, was seized on Friday in the city of Houston by specialized officers from the Texas Rangers. District Attorney Erik Johnson mentioned that, following the crime scene protocol, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) Crime Scene Unit was called to the scene for processing. The team gathered essential physical evidence required for the investigation.

Johnson further mentioned that this physical evidence, coupled with the comprehensive subsequent probing led by Seminole Nation Lighthorse Police and agents from the District 22 Criminal Investigations Unit, resulted in the important arrest warrant against John Nolte II.

Currently, Nolte is being detained in Fayette County, Texas, where he waits to be extradited to Oklahoma to answer the serious charges against him. Johnson hinted that the formal charges pertaining to murder and conspiracy are likely to be officially levied by the coming week.

However, District Attorney Johnson took a moment to remind everyone that, despite the heavy charges, John Nolte II maintains a presumption of innocence until the legal process establishes his guilt beyond doubt. Johnson firmly stated that the pursuit to uncover the truth behind this crime has been relentless since its discovery.

According to Johnson, the investigation has involved the complex interworking and cooperation of various law enforcement agencies, demonstrating their commitment to solving crimes and ensuring justice.

In his closing remarks, Johnson thanked all the law enforcement agencies who worked together tirelessly to make this arrest possible. Among them, he specifically mentioned the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, the Seminole Nation Lighthorse Police, the Texas Rangers, and other involved units.

Moreover, Johnson proved steadfast in his commitment to the victim, Jacob Washington, and his family. His office, the District Attorney’s office, will stop at nothing to make certain that justice is served in this case.
